DeviceNet Valve Position Monitoring

Main Product Info
Manufacturer: Moniteur Devices
Description:
Moniteur VPCs with encapsulated DeviceNet
interface cards adapt your on/off automated valves to an advanced DeviceNet valve network. Money and time will be saved as installation and maintenance are streamlined with reduced wiring and improved system diagnostics.

Based on the CAN protocol, the DeviceNet protocol was developed by Allen Bradley to provide industry with a simple and cost effective method of networking field devices. Moniteur supplies a full range of accessories including cable and quick- disconnect connectors to simplify installation.

Moniteur's Advanced DeviceNet Platform Improves Reliability
The Network Card. A full function encapsulated network card includes the following benefits:
Encapsulated electronics and position sensors ensure reliability in corrosive, humid and dirty environments.
Hall effect position sensors designed for the card and provide optimum stability in
areas of high vibration.
Two transistor outputs with a combined output of 4.8w @ 24VDC are available for your solenoid valves and allow many standard DC NAMUR valves to be used, avoiding special "low power" valves
High visibility LEDs are located on-board for local indication of on -board sensors, auxiliary inputs, outputs and network state.
Two additional inputs are optional for local pressure or temperature switches.
The Enclosure Platform. Moniteur's platform is available in a wide variety of enclosure materials to match your hazardous or corrosive environment and is designed to provide long-term reliability.
Housings in Aluminum or SuperTough Zytel Thermoplastic for General Purpose or Hazardous Areas
Moniteur’s patented Loc-Ring Cam and Shaft Retention System ensures sensing accuracy and a multi-million cycle life of the physical platform.
DIN 4-pin Female Micro or 5-pin Mini plug connectors can be fitted to the conduit entries of the enclosures to speed installation in general purpose areas.
Moniteur's industry-preferred indicator has a rated minimum life of 1,000,000 cycles. With indicators still in service after 9 million cycles, you're assured of long-term reliability.
DeviceNet Network Features

Additional Advantages of In-Plant Networking

Drastically Reduced Installation Costs - Wiring and installation time are reduced, yielding a cost saving up to 40% versus conventional methods.

Reduced Maintenance Costs and Increased System Reliability - Components require less maintenance and are designed to work "one way" only. Built-in diagnostic functions allow components to be continuously monitored.

Faster Start-Up - Set-up is simpler and diagnostic functions speed troubleshooting.

Simplified Plant Wiring - Automated valves can be inter-connected in any configuration. Utilizing 4 wires eliminates wiring "spaghetti" of older schemes.
